The use of the concept of security has become an indispensable necessity in the current world that permeates all areas of life. At the international level, terrorism and transnational organized crime have been identified as the most common and most impacting threats, whose actions may jeopardize the stability of any country, with the corresponding regional collateral damage. In this regard, it has also been recognized that the procurement of security between countries cannot be done in isolation due to the geographical, commercial and political interconnection that exists in the international sphere. For Mexico, the geographic positioning and its immediate proximity to the United States of America (USA) represents a particular situation that is not comparable with any other Latin American actor. |
