Fines políticos y guerra en Carl Von Clausewitz

Abstract

Carl Von Clausewitz en su obra De la Guerra [Vom Kriege], expone los fundamentos que rigen a las acciones bélicas que todo ejército profesional debe realizar para obtener la victoria, pero también establece un principio fundamental que explica las razones de la guerra: la política. Las acciones que realizan las fuerzas armadas son producto de las decisiones de la clase política y del gobierno con ello confirmando que hay una subordinación directa de la milicia a los objetivos de la política, ésta es la que fija los límites de la guerra y la violencia pues las primeras son sólo una herramienta, un medio por el cual se pueden alcanzar los fines que fueron fijados de manera racional. La élite militar se encargará de establecer las estrategias alineadas a la política para obtener la rendición de las fuerzas adversas al Estado, pero siempre bajo la lógica que han fijado los políticos. Clausewitz propone que la guerra sin fines políticos no tiene sentido ni validez, pues carece de valor la violencia por sí misma, sin embargo, al asumir un carácter de índole político, se convierte en parte fundamental para la protección e incluso organización del Estado por lo que los encargados de dirigir la guerra deben estar íntimamente a la clase política porque esta da dirección a la actividad bélica de una nación.

Clausewitz proposes that war without political goals has no meaning or validity, violence is worthless in itself, however, assuming a political nature, it becomes a fundamental part for the protection and even organization of the State, so those responsible for leading the war must be intimately in the political class because it gives direction to the war activity of a nation.
